The course deals with concepts of chemical equilibrium and is mainly intended for high school chemistry students. The student should be familiar with gas laws. The topics are divided into relevant categories. We start with discussion of equilibrium state and then gradually move to the mathematical expression for equilibrium constants. We then discuss the famous Le Chatelier principle and explore in detail the effect of concentration, pressure, volume and temperature. The effect of catalyst is discussed w.r.t equilibrium. Towards the end we explore the relationship between chemical equilibrium, thermodynamics and chemical kinetics. Each topic should take 15-20 min to understand and in total should not take more than 4 hours. You should take this course if you are planning to appear in AP exams, MCAT, IIT-JEE or even if you are a high school chemistry student.
