This course is the opposite: about 3 focused hours that take you from complete beginner to job-ready, built the modern way.
You will start with the foundations — the Excel screen, tidy data, formatting that helps readers, and never losing work. Then you will master the formulas that do 80% of real spreadsheet work: SUM, AVERAGE, IF, and the SUMIFS family. You will learn lookups the modern way — XLOOKUP first, INDEX+MATCH for grids and legacy files, VLOOKUP just well enough to read old spreadsheets — plus dynamic arrays (FILTER, SORT, UNIQUE) that turn reports into living formulas.
Next comes the skill reviewers of other courses beg for: cleaning dirty data. You will rescue a genuinely filthy shop export — duplicates, stray spaces, four spellings of one city, prices stored as text, dates in three formats — by hand, by formula, and finally with Power Query, so the cleanup replays on next week’s export with one Refresh. From there: proper Tables, validation dropdowns, conditional formatting, PivotTables with slicers and PivotCharts, and charts that tell the truth instead of decorating.
