Description
In this introductory course I present methods that in the short and long term can give you better opportunities to publish in journals with higher impact, including finding information about metrics and other useful techniques.Because it has become the standard, accepted way to measure the perceived relative importance of a particular research work, publishing in high-impact scientific journals is a goal all scientists share during their careers.
Journal-based metrics, such as the journal impact factor, is taken into account by employers when hiring scientists, and for funding, appointment, and promotion considerations for scientists already on the job.
The course is part of a full training program I offer in the area of scientific publication for scientists.
Designed to be followed by being actively engaged during learning, you will see actionable ideas that you can implement in your manuscript planning and submission, including using using alternative metrics, and six different methods that may help you getting your manuscripts accepted in higher IF journals.
