Course Title: Drawing Biology Diagrams

Course Description: This course is designed for students and professionals in the biological sciences who wish to enhance their ability to create accurate and visually appealing biology diagrams. Over a series of interactive lessons, participants will learn the principles and techniques of biological illustration, focusing on both traditional and digital methods.

The course begins with an introduction to the basics of biological structures, covering cells, tissues, organs, and systems. Participants will explore various diagram types, including anatomical, cellular, and ecological representations. Emphasis will be placed on understanding the importance of scale, proportion, and detail in scientific illustrations.

Through hands-on exercises, students will practice sketching and drawing using pencils, inks, and digital tools such as graphic tablets and software like Adobe Illustrator and BioRender. Key topics include labeling, shading, and creating depth, ensuring that diagrams are not only scientifically accurate but also easy to understand.

Additionally, the course covers best practices for presenting and publishing biological illustrations in academic papers, presentations, and educational materials.
