[100% Off] Network Analysis Using Wireshark
A Practical Guide to Capturing, Filtering, and Analyzing Network Traffic with Wireshark
Requirements
- General Computer Network Background
Description
This course provides a comprehensive introduction to network traffic analysis using Wireshark, one of the most widely used network protocol analyzers. The course begins with an overview of traffic analysis tools, explaining their importance in network troubleshooting, security monitoring, and performance analysis. Special focus is given to Wireshark, including its main features and why it is widely adopted by network engineers and IT professionals.
Participants will learn how to install Wireshark and perform the initial configuration required to start capturing network traffic. The course also explains how to select and manage network interfaces for packet capture, along with the essential settings needed to ensure accurate and efficient monitoring.
After the setup phase, the course explores the Wireshark interface in detail. Learners will become familiar with the main components of the application, available options, and built-in analysis tools. Different graphical features, such as traffic graphs and statistics tools, are demonstrated to help visualize network behavior and identify anomalies.
The course then moves to practical packet analysis. Students will capture and analyze network traffic related to key protocols including IP, ICMP, ARP, TCP, UDP, HTTP, and WLAN. Special attention is given to using display filters and capture filters to efficiently locate specific packets and analyze communication patterns within large traffic captures.
Throughout the course, both theoretical explanations and practical demonstration videos are provided. This approach ensures that participants not only understand the concepts behind network protocols but also gain hands-on experience analyzing real network traffic using Wireshark.
