Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) induction is the single most critical training intervention in the entire safety lifecycle, because workers are most likely to be injured during their first weeks on a new job. This comprehensive course takes you deep into the design, development, delivery, and evaluation of HSE induction training programs that genuinely prevent incidents rather than tick compliance boxes.
You will begin with the foundations: the three pillars of HSE, the difference between hazards and risks, the hierarchy of controls, and the safety culture maturity models that shape how organizations approach induction. From there, you will navigate the complex legal landscape across the UK Health and Safety at Work Act, OSHA standards in the US, EU framework directives, and Australian regulations, learning exactly what each demands of induction content.
The course then moves into the practical craft of program design. You will master risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification techniques, apply adult learning principles and the ADDIE instructional design model, and develop professional training materials.
