This was me at the beginning of my journey. I tried EVERY diet on the market. Some were well rounded and balanced, and others were, well, “extreme”. Have you ever heard of the Grapefruit diet? If you haven’t, consider yourself lucky! I tried EVERYTHING under the sun and despite losing SOME weight, it would ALWAYS return post diet.
After YEARS of failed attempts, weight lost and regained, I realized it went FAR BEYOND choosing the right diet. I realized I had been programmed by “diet culture” to FAIL. I started working backwards, experimenting, asking questions and digging deep into WHY certain people were able to be successful in weight loss while others weren’t. I was DETERMINED to get into that category myself and so I started on a long journey. I became certified as a Personal Trainer & Nutritionist through ACE, and was able to lose 60+ pounds and have kept it off for over 5 years.
