[100% Off] Django Essentials: Build And Deploy Real-World Apps
Go from Python basics to a live Django site – models, views, templates, forms, and deployment on Render
What you’ll learn
- Build a complete Django web application, from an empty folder to a working site
- Structure a project properly – apps, URLs, views, models, templates and migrations
- Manage your data through the Django admin and customise it for your own models
- Handle user input with forms and cut boilerplate with class-based generic views
- Build two real projects: a browser Snake game and a PDF-to-Word converter
- Push your project to GitHub and deploy it live on Render so anyone can visit it
Requirements
- Basic Python – variables, functions and data types; the essentials are revisited early on
- A computer with internet access (Windows, macOS or Linux) – every tool used is free
- Familiarity with HTML and CSS is helpful but not required
- A free GitHub account for the deployment section
Description
Most Django tutorials stop before the part that matters: putting it online.
You can follow a dozen videos, end up with a project running on localhost, and still have nothing you can send anyone. This course takes you all the way – from an empty folder to a Django site deployed on Render with a public URL you can put on your CV.
It starts by grounding the Python you will actually need: data types, functions, modules, and cleaning a dataset with Pandas in Jupyter. Then into Django proper – creating a project, building apps, mapping views to URLs, setting up the database, and writing models. From there you will work with the admin interface, templates, class-based generic views and forms.
The last section is all building. You will make a Snake game that runs in the browser and a PDF-to-Word converter web app, push both to GitHub, and deploy to Render.
What you will build
A browser-based Snake game, built as a Django app
A PDF to Word converter that real people could use
A GitHub repository with your work in it
A live deployment on Render with a public URL
What you get
Short, practical lessons with code you write yourself
A quiz after each core section
Two finished projects for your portfolio, not toy exercises
Before you enrol
You need basic Python – variables, functions and data types – though the early lectures revisit the essentials. HTML and CSS familiarity helps but is not required. Everything used is free, and you will want a GitHub account for the deployment section.
Taught by Dr. Azad Rasul, a geospatial data scientist and Assistant Professor, with over 150,000 students enrolled across his Udemy courses.
Enrol now and finish with a Django site that is actually online.
