This course is designed to equip students with basic skills and techniques for writing effective and engaging news scripts for various media platforms, including television, radio, and digital media. Students will learn journalistic principles with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and objectivity, while also understanding how to craft stories that engage audiences. The main topics include understanding news values, structuring news scripts, writing for the ear and eye, and adapting content for various formats and target audiences. Emphasis will be placed on developing clear and concise writing styles, fact-checking, and adhering to journalistic ethical standards. Through practical exercises, workshops, and real-world assignments, students will gain hands-on experience in writing scripts under tight deadlines and responding to the fast-paced nature of news production.
