[100% Off] Redesigning Workflows For Ai: Processes, Roles And Quality
Use process mapping, task allocation, human oversight and role redesign to document how people and AI work together
What you’ll learn
- Map an assigned workflow into steps with explicit inputs, outputs, decisions and handoffs
- Redesign the sequence and assign human or AI participation to every step with clear human accountability
- Specify acceptance criteria, reviewers and exception routes before AI outputs move to the next step
- Document changed role responsibilities and estimate workload including review and rework
- Identify redundant steps and redesign handoffs while preserving necessary evidence and decision authority
- Produce a draft process specification with operating instructions, document ownership and version control
- Inspect normal and exception paths for missing inputs, conflicting responsibilities and unchecked outputs
- Explore the retained foundations of AI, HR automation and robotics through the original HR lessons
Requirements
- Familiarity with a workplace process and basic experience using an AI assistant
- A computer and a web browser to open the five interactive HTML tools
- Use the supplied fictional process or authorized, de-identified material from a process you already know
- An approved AI assistant for optional drafting practice; the process design tools do not require a paid AI subscription
- No programming knowledge is required
Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence
Adding AI to a task does not automatically improve the workflow around it. The sequence, handoffs, responsibilities and quality checks need a design of their own.
A faster draft can still wait in the same approval queue. Work removed from one role can reappear as checking and correction work in another. When the process stays unchanged, local improvements can leave the overall result unreliable and the new responsibilities unclear.
A redesigned workflow makes the relationship between people and AI visible. Each step has an input, an output, a receiving role and a clear condition for completion. Preparation, review and approval are distinguished, so accountability does not disappear behind a tool. The resulting specification gives a process owner something concrete to inspect before implementation planning begins.
Mike is the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with more than 2,000,000 students on the platform. He holds PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications. These credentials provide a people-management perspective on work design, role responsibilities and the human consequences of changing a process.
The new core begins with an already assigned workflow. First comes a map of the current steps, decisions and handoffs. Next comes the redesigned sequence: which work stays with people, where AI contributes and how each output moves forward. Quality rules follow, including the evidence a reviewer needs and the route for an incomplete or unsupported result.
The next stage examines roles across the process. Review, correction and exception handling are included in the workload assumptions, making it easier to see when apparent savings in one place create a bottleneck elsewhere. The final stage brings the sequence, responsibilities and checks into a draft process specification with document ownership and version control.
Five interactive HTML tools support this design work in a web browser. A fictional operational process provides a common reference, and each tool includes the inputs needed to use it independently. The exercises produce design documents; they do not require launching a live pilot, building an agent or reorganizing a company.
The original 2025 lessons remain after the new core. They provide broader foundations and HR examples covering AI capabilities, automation, people analytics, recruitment, learning, performance measurement and robotics. This retained material is distinct from the new workflow redesign sequence and preserves the course’s original HR context.
What’s included
- Lifetime access to all course materials
- Active instructor support in Q&A
- Udemy Certificate of Completion
- Five interactive HTML tools with fictional examples
- Practical assignments for documenting one redesigned process
- The retained AI, HR automation and robotics foundation lessons
Every new AI task added to an unchanged process leaves the surrounding work to be resolved later. Start with a clear design while the decisions are still visible and reviewable. Enroll now and start your first lesson today.
