- No technical or coding background is needed
Description
This course contains the use of artificial intelligence.
Most products fail for the same reason: somebody built the thing before anyone confirmed a person wanted it.
What is going wrong right now
You are shipping features. The roadmap fills up, sprints close, releases go out, and none of it moves a number anyone cares about. Stakeholders each want something different and the loudest one usually wins. Research gets skipped because there is no time, so decisions are made from opinion dressed as insight. Then someone asks what the product’s North Star metric is and the room goes quiet. You are busy, the team is busy, and the product is drifting.
What changes after this course
You will decide what to build on evidence rather than on who asked most recently. You will run discovery properly, validate the hypothesis before the engineering cost, define one metric that tells you whether the product is working, and calculate whether the unit economics survive contact with reality. You will write requirements engineering can build without a second meeting, deliver the roadmap with actual project discipline, and take the product to market with positioning that holds up against competitors.
Your instructor
Mike, the number one HR instructor on Udemy, with more than 1.6 million course enrolments and over 150,000 professionals trained. Holder of PHRi and SHRM-CP certifications and HRCI representative in more than 10 countries. Built the people function of the unicorn Preply and worked at Wargaming, Alfa-Bank and iDeals.
How the course is built
The course follows the actual arc of product work. It opens with the product discipline itself: the role, strategy and product-market fit, portfolio decisions across the life cycle, customer discovery with Jobs to Be Done and journey mapping, the operating model of squads and OKRs, the North Star and AARRR metrics, monetisation and unit economics, then scaling and innovation. The second block goes deep on the customer: journey audits, service strategy, NPS, CSAT and CES, feedback analysis, and what to do with difficult customers. The third block converts all of that into buildable requirements — user stories, acceptance criteria, process modelling and change management. The fourth sharpens the decisions themselves through logic, cognitive biases, OODA and Cynefin. The fifth is delivery: scope, schedule, budget, risk, team and control by PMBOK 7. The course closes with go-to-market: competitive analysis, strategy frameworks, budget and ROMI, positioning, the digital funnel and AI in marketing.
What is included
• Lifetime access to all course materials
• Active instructor support in the Q&A section
• Udemy Certificate of Completion
• Practical assignments and real business cases
• A section with additional courses, tools and resources
Why start now
Every quarter of building without evidence is a quarter of engineering budget spent on guesses. Product roles are among the best paid in the market precisely because the discipline is rare. Enrol now and start the first lesson today.
