Why engagement surveys change nothing
The company runs a survey once a year. Results arrive two months later as a long report. Managers see one number for their team and do not know what to do with it. Employees see that nothing changed and answer the next survey less honestly. The survey itself is the easy part. The work is in what happens after it: a conversation in each team and two or three actions that people notice.
What changes after this course
You choose the right survey for the question you have and launch it so that people answer. You read the results by team and bring each manager a short report. Managers discuss the results with their people and agree on actions. You connect engagement with what the business feels: turnover, wellbeing, motivation and the daily experience of employees from the first contact to the last day.

Who is teaching
I am Mike, the #1 HR instructor on Udemy, with 1,800,000+ course enrollments from 170,000 students, and the author of about 200 books on Amazon. I built the people system at Preply as it became a unicorn and worked at Wargaming, iDeals and Alfa-Bank across 20 years in HR. I hold PHRi, SHRM-CP and HCI sHRBP certifications and represent HRCI in Eastern Europe.
When I was an HR business partner at Wargaming, I had a group of about 15 managers, and I met each of them in person. I asked all 12 questions of the survey and we discussed every one. A low score became a conversation, not a number in a report. Later, when I worked at Preply, our investors invited me to a conference in San Francisco. I was amazed there: the founder of a well-known software company and a head of support talked about the same 12 questions as a tool they use themselves. People from whom nobody expects it were doing this work on their own.
